Combine courses across the arts, humanities, sciences and social sciences to develop invaluable skills that prepare you for diverse careers and a fulfilling life shaped by your passions.

Program description

In the Bachelor of Arts program in interdisciplinary arts and sciences, you build a flexible, customized degree that is specific to your career goals.

You tailor your program to emphasize interdisciplinary study combined with a specific focus area (e.g., business, communication studies, English, gerontology, history, psychology, preprofessional studies). For example, a focus area that blends business with arts and performance can lead to employment opportunities that aren't as easily accessed with a traditional business degree alone.

By providing the opportunity to combine disciplines, New College equips you with the specialized education you need to reach your individual career goals. This program culminates in a capstone experience that provides a practical perspective, skills and connections, preparing you for graduate school or the corporate world.

Accelerated master's

These programs allow students to accelerate their studies to earn a bachelor's plus a master's degree in as few as five years (for some programs).

Each program has requirements students must meet to be eligible for consideration. Students typically receive approval to pursue the accelerated master's during the junior year of their bachelor's degree program. Interested students can learn about eligibility requirements and how to apply.

Concurrent degrees allow students to pursue their own personal or professional interests, earn two distinct degrees and receive two diplomas. To add a concurrent degree to your existing degree, work with your academic advisor.

Joint programs, or jointly conferred degrees, are offered by more than one college and provide opportunities for students to take advantage of the academic strengths of two academic units. Upon graduation, students are awarded one degree and one diploma conferred by two colleges.

ASU adds new programs to Degree Search frequently. Come back often and look for the "New Programs" option.
