As an ASU FIDM student, you can spend your days creating the perfectly designed garments and accessories of your dreams. Learn to design, illustrate, construct, alter, show and market your fashion ideas, and prepare yourself for a career you've only dreamed of.
The Bachelor of Arts program in fashion with a concentration in design is a transdisciplinary program that provides students with a foundation that enables them to work across many segments in the fashion design industry.
The program combines history, business practices and hands-on studio experience to prepare students for a variety of roles in this global industry. Gaining proficiency in illustration skills and fluency with materials, traditional techniques and digital technologies, students are prepared for interdisciplinary collaborations through coursework across design, construction, wearable technology, sustainability, management and leadership, international experience, and fashion and culture. In the capstone experience, students develop a substantial project within an area of focus. Opportunities for internships and study abroad further advance students' professional goals.
Through the leadership of well-known industry professionals, students are connected globally to leaders in the industry and prepared to pursue a dynamic career in fashion.

More than 300 study abroad opportunities are available through the Global Education Office, giving students the ability to tailor their experience to their specific interests and skill sets. Students in this program can spend a summer session in France in the Exploration of French Fashion, Language and Culture program led by fashion faculty.

3 year programs
These programs allow students to fast-track their studies after admission and earn a bachelor's degree in three years or fewer while participating in the same high-quality educational experience of a 4-year option. Students should talk to their academic advisor to get started.
Accelerated master's
These programs allow students to accelerate their studies to earn a bachelor's plus a master's degree in as few as five years (for some programs).
Each program has requirements students must meet to be eligible for consideration. Acceptance to the graduate program requires a separate application. Students typically receive approval to pursue the accelerated master’s during the junior year of their bachelor's degree program.
