The Bachelor of Arts program in organizational leadership with a concentration in project management offers a theoretical and skills-driven curriculum designed to prepare students to excel as project managers and leaders.
In organizational leadership courses, students explore leadership theory and practice, gaining the skills and knowledge necessary to lead diverse teams, innovate, solve problems, communicate effectively, evaluate leadership and organizational effectiveness, manage resources and use emerging technologies within organizations. Additionally, students develop essential skills for managing complex projects, including project leadership, quality management, risk management, schedule management, cost management and resource management.
Concurrent degrees:
Students have the opportunity to earn a second degree while pursuing the BA in organizational leadership. The following programs are not available as concurrent degrees with this program: BAS in applied science (applied leadership); BA in organizational leadership; BA in organizational leadership (project management); BA in organizational leadership (veterans, society and service); AA in organizational leadership; BAS in applied science (project management); BS in project management; BA in interdisciplinary studies (organizational leadership); BA in interdisciplinary studies (project management).

This program allows students to obtain both a bachelor's and a master's degree in as little as five years. Accelerated bachelor's plus master's degree programs are designed for high-achieving students who want the opportunity to share undergraduate coursework with graduate coursework to accelerate completion of their master's degree. These programs feature the same high quality curriculum taught by ASU's world-renowned faculty.

Organizational leadership students can become influential and innovative leaders all over the world. Through distinct study abroad experiences around the globe, students gain valuable leadership and communication skills. Whether in a foreign country, in the U.S. or online, students can expand their scope of learning beyond the classroom and gain hands-on experience in different and exciting cultures by participating in one of more than 300 available Global Education programs.
Many of the School of Applied Professional Studies programs allow students to earn credit toward their major for their experiences studying abroad.
Graduates are equipped for a variety of roles in the public and private sectors, including government, information technology, nonprofit agencies, various businesses and the service industry. They are prepared for positions such as technical project manager, project manager skilled in Agile methodology and others, senior project manager, portfolio manager, and director of project management. Additionally, graduates may pursue advanced credentials such as the Project Management Professional certification, or further their education through graduate programs.
Example job titles and salaries listed below are not necessarily entry level, and students should take into consideration how years of experience and geographical location may affect pay scales. Some jobs also may require advanced degrees, certifications or state-specific licensure.

ASU programs that may lead to professional licensure or certification are intended to prepare students for potential licensure or certification in Arizona. Completion of an ASU program may not meet educational requirements for licensure or certification in another state. For more information, students should visit the ASU professional licensure webpage.
The Project Management Institute has two options for certification:
- The Certified Associate Project Manager credential requires 23 hours of project management education and a secondary degree (high school diploma, associate degree or the global equivalent) for students to test.
- The Project Management Professional credential requires either a four-year degree and 36 months of experience leading projects within the last eight years, or a secondary education diploma (high school diploma, associate degree or the global equivalent) and 60 months of experience leading projects within the past eight years. In addition, students must have 35 hours of project management training to sit for the PMP designation test.

Program term definitions
Accelerated programs allow students the opportunity to expedite the completion of their degree.
Accelerated master's
These programs allow students to accelerate their studies to earn a bachelor's plus a master's degree in as few as five years (for some programs).
Each program has requirements students must meet to be eligible for consideration. Students typically receive approval to pursue the accelerated master's during the junior year of their bachelor's degree program. Interested students can learn about eligibility requirements and how to apply.
Concurrent degrees allow students to pursue their own personal or professional interests, earn two distinct degrees and receive two diplomas. To add a concurrent degree to your existing degree, work with your academic advisor.
Joint programs, or jointly conferred degrees, are offered by more than one college and provide opportunities for students to take advantage of the academic strengths of two academic units. Upon graduation, students are awarded one degree and one diploma conferred by two colleges.
