The curriculum of the Bachelor of Science program in project management is grounded in the latest project management theories and practices. The program provides opportunities for students to apply these practices in professional situations through simulations and other forms of career-connected learning. Students learn the foundations of project leadership and how to manage project costs, schedules, resources and risks.

Program learning outcomes identify what a student will learn or be able to do upon completion of their program. This program has the following program outcomes:

Graduates have the skills and knowledge needed for project management positions in a wide variety of organizations and settings, including business, government, nonprofit agencies and the service industry. Project managers can thrive in many industries, such as health care, information technology and construction management.

ASU programs that may lead to professional licensure or certification are intended to prepare students for potential licensure or certification in Arizona. Completion of an ASU program may not meet educational requirements for licensure or certification in another state. For more information, students should visit the ASU professional licensure webpage.
The Project Management Institute has two options for certification:
- The Certified Associate Project Manager credential requires 23 hours of project management education and a secondary degree (high school diploma, associate degree or the global equivalent) for students to test.
- The Project Management Professional credential requires either a four-year degree and 36 months of experience leading projects within the last eight years, or a secondary education diploma (high school diploma, associate degree or the global equivalent) with 60 months of experience leading projects within the past eight years. In addition, students must have 35 hours of project management training to sit for the PMP designation test.

3 year programs
These programs allow students to fast-track their studies after admission and earn a bachelor's degree in three years or fewer while participating in the same high-quality educational experience of a 4-year option. Students should talk to their academic advisor to get started.
Accelerated master's
These programs allow students to accelerate their studies to earn a bachelor's plus a master's degree in as few as five years (for some programs).
Each program has requirements students must meet to be eligible for consideration. Acceptance to the graduate program requires a separate application. Students typically receive approval to pursue the accelerated master’s during the junior year of their bachelor's degree program.
