Students should work with their academic advisor, and consider course prerequisites, in order to complete all degree requirements in four years.
Direct Admit Continuing Eligibility Criteria (CEC)
Direct admit students must meet Continuing Eligibility Criteria (CEC) each semester (Terms 1-4) to advance into the prelicensure clinical nursing program. The following criteria will be reviewed each semester: AND Full-time enrollment at ASU (minimum 12 credit hours per term) AND Enroll in courses following the published course sequence (according to term) on the major map in terms 1-4. Any deviation from the published major map must be approved by petition. AND All courses must be completed at ASU unless approved by petition. AND 3.50 minimum semester critical (prerequisite) courses GPA in term 1-4 (includes +/- in computation) with no grades lower than a C. Critical courses are marked with symbol on the major map. Electives are not included in the calculation. AND Successful completion of all screening items by the established deadlines.

Advancement to the Prelicensure Clinical Nursing Program
Advancement into the prelicensure clinical nursing programs at Arizona State University requires an application. Application deadlines are September 1 for spring and February 1 for summer and fall.
Students must meet all health and safety requirements at the time of advancement and must maintain compliance on all health and safety requirements throughout their enrollment in the program.
An Arizona IVP Fingerprint Clearance Card is required for advancement.
A valid American Heart Association Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Providers certificate is required for advancement.
