You gain a solid foundation and knowledge base in the core business disciplines and develop the analytic capabilities and leadership skills that are essential for making sound business decisions.
The curriculum is delivered in a case-based, team-oriented and discussion-style learning environment. Elective courses provide additional depth and breadth to enhance your area of emphasis, knowledge base and career goals.
The fast-track MBA program is perfect if you are a working professional who needs an MBA degree to advance in your careers. Classes are held two nights a week --- with online courses also available --- enabling you to graduate with an MBA degree in 12 to 18 months, depending on your incoming discipline.
This program may be eligible for an Optional Practical Training extension for up to 24 months. This OPT work authorization period may help international students gain skills and experience in the U.S. Those interested in an OPT extension should review ASU degrees that qualify for the STEM-OPT extension at ASU's International Students and Scholars Center website.
The OPT extension only applies to students on an F-1 visa and does not apply to students completing a degree through ASU Online.

Required Core (3 credit hours) Electives and Research (24 credit hours) Culminating Experience (3 credit hours) Additional Curriculum Information The school does not accept graduate credits earned while students are in nondegree status or courses taken before admission to the MBA program or while enrolled in another MBA program outside the W. P. Carey School of Business. Registration in W. P. Carey School courses numbered 501 and higher is limited to students who have been admitted to a graduate degree program and have the approval of the MBA program office. The core course is designed to provide a foundation in business knowledge and skills. Elective courses build on the business core and center on the further development of an optional area of emphasis. Possible additional requirements vary by area of emphasis. All students must successfully complete the comprehensive exam requirement established by the W. P. Carey School and the Graduate College for the MBA. The comprehensive exam is integrated with the MGT 589 Strategic Management capstone course culminating experience. Students who pass this course with a grade of "B" (scale is 4.00 = "A") or higher satisfy the comprehensive examination requirement.

Applicants must fulfill the requirements of both the Graduate College and the W. P. Carey School of Business.
Applicants are eligible to apply to the program if they have earned a master's degree from a regionally accredited institution.
Applicants must have a minimum cumulative GPA of 3.00 (scale is 4.00 = "A") in the last 60 hours of their first bachelor's degree program or a minimum cumulative GPA of 3.00 (scale is 4.00 = "A") in an applicable master's degree program.

Additional Application Information
An applicant whose native language is not English must provide proof of English proficiency regardless of their current residency.
The letters of recommendation should comment on the student's motivation, commitment, achievements, work experience and likely success in the program.
In addition to having two years of work experience, applicants must have earned a master's degree in a specific business discipline. If the previously earned master's degree is not from an AACSB-accredited school, GRE or GMAT test scores may be requested. ASU does not accept the GRE® General Test at home edition.

Program term definitions
Accelerated programs allow students the opportunity to expedite the completion of their degree.
Accelerated master's
These programs allow students to accelerate their studies to earn a bachelor's plus a master's degree in as few as five years (for some programs).
Each program has requirements students must meet to be eligible for consideration. Students typically receive approval to pursue the accelerated master's during the junior year of their bachelor's degree program. Interested students can learn about eligibility requirements and how to apply.
Concurrent degrees allow students to pursue their own personal or professional interests, earn two distinct degrees and receive two diplomas. To add a concurrent degree to your existing degree, work with your academic advisor.
Joint programs, or jointly conferred degrees, are offered by more than one college and provide opportunities for students to take advantage of the academic strengths of two academic units. Upon graduation, students are awarded one degree and one diploma conferred by two colleges.
