Health Care Simulation (Graduate Certificate)
EXPERIENTIAL, Health, Healthcare, Simulation, medical, nursing
Health care simulations mimic a clinical situation without the risk of potentially harmful, real clinical consequences. Attain skills to develop simulation-based learning, allowing yourself and others the opportunity to practice and test abilities, building confidence before entering practical clinical scenarios.
Nearly every nursing program, medical school and health care organization utilizes formative and summative simulation experiences. The simulated learning environment provides a psychologically safe space where students can make mistakes without risk to real patients.
The graduate certificate in health care simulation prepares the workforce of the future to design evidence-based simulations in the clinical or academic setting, understand how to operate and sustain a simulation center, evaluate the effectiveness of simulation, and design process improvement plans. Students receive a range of experiences so they can learn to lead interprofessional teams to design, deliver, evaluate or employ operations techniques simulation education.
