You gain practical skills and hands-on experience in both global management and health care delivery through the global health care delivery concentration within the Master of Global Management program.
Offered in collaboration with the College of Health Solutions, this concentration enables you to meet the growing need for skilled health care managers who have a solid foundation of international business skills and a global mindset. It's designed for you as a current or aspiring executive and manager in health care to hone your leadership and business skills for a career leading health care organizations around the world. You may also find this degree helpful as a health care practitioner, such as a nurse and doctor, to move from clinical practice into management roles.
You master core and advanced skills in designing systems, processes and mechanisms used to optimize health care delivery anywhere in the world. In addition, you integrate evidence-based financial principles geared toward improved individual and population health outcomes, such as leadership strategies in change management.

This video provides an overview of the Global Management (Global Health Care Delivery), MGM degree program at ASU.
This program allows students to obtain both a bachelor's and a master's degree in as little as five years. Accelerated bachelor's plus master's degree programs are designed for high-achieving students who want the opportunity to share undergraduate coursework with graduate coursework to accelerate completion of their master's degree. These programs feature the same high quality curriculum taught by ASU's world-renowned faculty.

Students typically receive approval to pursue the accelerated master's during the junior year of their bachelor's degree program. Interested students can learn about eligibility requirements and how to apply.

Except for TGM 596 and the foreign language requirement, other requirement courses may be substituted with approval of the academic unit. Proficiency in a second language is required to graduate with the MGM degree. Students whose native language is not English who meet the admission requirements for the program satisfy the language requirement. Students whose native language is English must satisfy the graduation requirement for language proficiency either through an oral proficiency interview administered by a third-party vendor or by successfully completing six credit hours of foreign language coursework at the 400 level or higher as part of the program electives.

Applicants must fulfill the requirements of both the Graduate College and the Thunderbird School of Global Management.
Applicants are eligible to apply to the program if they have earned a bachelor's or master's degree in any subject from a regionally accredited institution.
Applicants must have a minimum cumulative GPA of 3.00 (scale is 4.00 = "A") in the last 60 hours of their first bachelor's degree program or a minimum cumulative GPA of 3.00 (scale is 4.00 = "A") in an applicable master's degree program.

Global Challenge Lab
Students in Thunderbird's MGM program have distinct opportunities to apply and hone their learning in international settings. Experiential learning exposes students to actual problems faced by leaders of multinational businesses and governmental or nonprofit organizations that operate on an international level.
Working with Thunderbird professors, their fellow students, alumni and corporate partners, students master and apply global management principles and concepts to meet real business challenges through special courses, labs and projects. Thunderbird offers a wide variety of experiential learning engagements, giving students the ability to solve practical challenges by collaborating with the school's corporate partners around the world.
The Global Challenge Lab is a client-facing, project-based course built on a six- to seven-week immersion assignment in a key emerging or advanced market. Projects take students to destinations all over the world. They are tailored to the client's business needs and challenge students to provide sophisticated data and market analysis, strategy recommendations, and plans for sustained growth that are practical and effective.
The program addresses the current and future needs of the management workforce in the health care industry globally, including C-suite executives and administrators, health care providers (physicians, physician assistants, nurse practitioners and nurses), frontline staff (respiratory therapists, occupational therapists, physical therapists and dietitians), and students in medical disciplines.

Accelerated programs allow students the opportunity to expedite the completion of their degree.
Accelerated master's
These programs allow students to accelerate their studies to earn a bachelor's plus a master's degree in as few as five years (for some programs).
Each program has requirements students must meet to be eligible for consideration. Students typically receive approval to pursue the accelerated master's during the junior year of their bachelor's degree program. Interested students can learn about eligibility requirements and how to apply.
Concurrent degrees allow students to pursue their own personal or professional interests, earn two distinct degrees and receive two diplomas. To add a concurrent degree to your existing degree, work with your academic advisor.
Joint programs, or jointly conferred degrees, are offered by more than one college and provide opportunities for students to take advantage of the academic strengths of two academic units. Upon graduation, students are awarded one degree and one diploma conferred by two colleges.
