According to the U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics, employment of media and communication occupations is projected to grow about as fast as the average for all occupations from 2023 to 2033, which will result in about 27,600 new jobs. Demand for media and communication occupations is expected to arise from the need to create, edit, translate and disseminate information through a variety of different platforms. About 109,500 openings are projected each year, on average, in these occupations due to employment growth and the need to replace workers who leave the occupations permanently. The median annual wage for media and communication workers (such as public relations specialists, news analysts, and writers and authors) was $66,320 in May 2023, which was higher than the median annual wage for all occupations of $48,060. Media and communication equipment workers (such as broadcast technicians, film and video editors, and photographers) had a median annual wage of $53,850 in May 2023, which was higher than the median annual wage for all occupations.
Employment in computer and information technology occupations is projected to grow much faster than the average for all occupations from 2023 to 2033. About 356,700 openings are projected each year, on average, in these occupations due to employment growth and the need to replace workers who leave the occupations permanently. All these numbers show a promising future for graduates who develop the skills taught in this certificate program.

3 year programs
These programs allow students to fast-track their studies after admission and earn a bachelor's degree in three years or fewer while participating in the same high-quality educational experience of a 4-year option. Students should talk to their academic advisor to get started.
Accelerated master's
These programs allow students to accelerate their studies to earn a bachelor's plus a master's degree in as few as five years (for some programs).
Each program has requirements students must meet to be eligible for consideration. Acceptance to the graduate program requires a separate application. Students typically receive approval to pursue the accelerated master’s during the junior year of their bachelor's degree program. Interested students can learn about eligibility requirements and how to apply.
